This document provides a system for designating tooth development stages in humans using two ASCII characters.

Dieses Dokument bietet ein Verfahren für die Bezeichnung der Kodierung und Nomenklatur für Entwicklungsstadien der Zähne mithilfe einzelner Buchstaben und Nummern, um die Dateneingabe zu erleichtern und Interoperabilität zu unterstützen.
Der erste Buchstabe steht für den Teil des Zahns (Krone, Wurzel und Apex) und die Nummer für das Entwicklungsstadium des Zahnteils.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode de désignation du codage et de la nomenclature des stades de développement dentaire à l’aide d’une lettre et d'un numéro, pour faciliter la saisie des données et favoriser l'interopérabilité.
La première lettre désigne la partie de la dent (couronne, racine et apex) et le chiffre représente le stade de développement de la partie de la dent.

This document (EN ISO 5365:2024) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106 "Dentistry"
in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 “Dentistry” the secretariat of which is held by
DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2024, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
Any feedback and questions on this document should be directed to the users’ national standards
